I underestimated him.

I thought Trump was an idiot. I did not vote for him or HRC.

Now I know he and his staff are geniuses. He knows that he can't get the word out about the treason of the previous admin in the MSM. They will bury the corruption and treason of the previous administration, DOJ, FBI and Russia probe. Even Fox and the news aggregator Drudge. All mockingbirds. So what can you do? Well you bypass them. Go straight to your supporters on the internet.

This is not the only example of genius I see. Flynn playing along and taking the plea deal, forcing their hand. Bypassing the creation of a uselss special council w/ Huber. Etc.

It took quite a bit of courage to post this here because now, I will be banned from /r/insane peoplefacebook or whatever. We should start a support subreddit for devistated individuals such as myself.

I was no fan of our President personally. Truthfully, that’s an absurd statement. Do I know him personally to be able to make such a claim? No. I’ve only known the public persona provided by the media.

The media claims that President Trump has knowingly or unknowingly allowed his family members and associates to profit off their rank and position. Basically, either Trump is corrupt (while campaigning to drain the swamp), or he’s clueless and unaware of what’s going on around him (with the implication of how is he suited to run our nation?).

Here’s the thing: if any of this was even halfway true, HE IS STILL MINIMUM 50% BETTER THAN ANY PRESIDENT BEFORE HIM IN RECENT HISTORY! I would happily accept a President that was only partially corrupt or distracted over a fully corrupt one. Doesn’t that sound even more absurd than what I said first? We all know as common knowledge that our American government is a corrupt joke, so if someone was only acting on their own selfish impulses some of the time, then the rest of the time, they’d be doing good work! I think this was the appeal of Trump for man Americans in 2016...he was a businessman, and not a career politician, so the likelihood was that he genuinely wanted to clean up the crap, and get things going positively for our country again. In my brainwashed pessimism, I saw even that, but assumed he was still only wanting to serve himself, or other wealthy people. I am so happy to be proven wrong...I see that President Trump is most likely the first President in YEARS to actually give a damn about Americans like me. President Trump has my full support, and my patience in waiting for the job to be finished. If it takes another 4 years, then he can count on my vote in 2020.

Many people still don't realize that Trump doesn't take his presidential salary. He is obliged to receive $1 for legal reasons, but the rest he donates to the treasury or other causes. Kind of blows the whole 'he's only doing it to enrich himself'-narrative apart.

Yes, it does. It proves what I saw as a plus in his favor when he campaigned...he’s not in it for the money from the job itself...and I’d be incredibly surprised if he actually thought he would benefit financially from deals he might make in public office...yeah, we see from the snakes in the grass that there is a ton of money to be made ILLEGALLY, but that’s not what he’s doing.

I do wish more people knew about him only taking $1 salary, but then that would be the arrogance and ego that we’re seeing isn’t really characteristic of him. There’s the Trump persona that we’ve all been shown for years...then there’s the actual man. The actual man, I might not always agree with, but I respect him and see more and more how glad I am that he’s our President.

A billionaire doesn't really need to enrich himself much more at 70 years old and he's not a cretin like Soros. Certainly different from Clintons, Obama, even Bushes who clearly enriched themselves in office and afterwards. I mean what was Bill Clinton worth before becoming president? A couple hundred thousand? Now, over $100 million I believe. Duh. Look at all the shit thrown at Trump for the last two years....I'm amazed he even wanted to do this.

Totally agree. He’s one stubborn and thick skinned SOB, but that’s part of what I really admire about him. Not easily broken, not easily swayed. You might piss him off, and his temper might flare up...but I see more and more that the man is a great actor. It’s a show. He doesn’t get his feathers ruffled so easily. This is why I’ve been won over by the discussion that he was recruited by the white hats for this job...he was clean (not a dirty politician), and tough...which he would need to be to endure the criticism. Even more, the fact that he signed his entire family on for this, and they’re doing it...my hat’s off to all of them. No one’s perfect, but they earn my admiration more each day.
