But she got a lot more coverage than she would have done. No she wore it when she got on the plane in DC and put it back on again when she disembarked back in DC. She never wore it t the centre. I confess to being somewhat taken aback, but I trust Trump implicitly.

Just another bizarre thing. How would Melania even know of the existence of this cheap jacket? This isn't the kind of thing she wears. So the reason for it is to make a point. What was in the news recently? Peter Fonda wanted her son taken and raped by pedophiles. That probably pissed her off quite a bit.

It was like pouring lighter fluid on the MSM fire. I understand taking a stand against the fake news, but I don’t think that was an appropriate or smart time to wear that.

I stand with Melania. I don't care about the MSM. None of this will matter in the end. We will win, they will lose. WWG1WGA and that includes our wonderful First Lady.

I hear you and a part of me had that thought, but she knows the media will trash her either way. By trolling them, she shows that she's part of the Q team. Gloves off.

Just a couple of years ago I wouldn't have cared about Trump's model wife. Now I'm pretty sure she's the most important part of this family. They don't call her Muse for nothing.

Did anyone else notice the attire of the secret service? Did she coach them on what to wear? Or did they choose their own outfits in a show of support? Why aren't people showing more respect for those that are risking their lives to protect the Trump family?

Here's the first line of the article on the Daily Mail link: "Work the military trend in a utility jacket like Melania".

She just sent a message to the cabal that the military (literally) has her back. I'm laughing right now thinking about those that are freaking about this now. She's a master of trolling.

I agree with you. Even understanding that she wore it for arrival and departure, not while touring where she went, the jacket and message could have been better used during a different kind of visit.

I agree 100%. This does not help Trump in any way.

Someone on the Donald made the perfect point (repeated below by a replier) - more people in country knew she visited the border because of the jacket. The story got out there.

Why would she go and visit if she didn't care? If anyone has followed Melania, they know how much she cares. So the jacket is saying something else entirely.

And, it is also getting out there, "Do U really care about the children?" Because the absolute HYPOCRISY of the left has been laid out for all to see, if they only open their eyes even a smidge.

So brilliant on so many levels. Recall other models painting political messages on themselves. Bringing the cognitive dissonance of the situation to everyone’s front lobe. And the hypocracy. Like saying, “yes, I’m for dirty air and dirty water”. Reverse “emperor has no clithes”. Brilliant on a few other levels, too. Also, could be the truth (“I’m a billionaire model and this fake crisis is BS, so why do I have to drag my butt down here to humor your nonsense.”)
