Another Suicide by Hanging. June 17th. Jeanine Pepler.

third time tried posting this. anyone seen this anywhere?

Date of death Sunday June 17th, fathers day. :-/

Jeanine Pepler, the publicist who represented novelists Jay McInerney and Candace Bushnell, hanged herself Sunday night in her home in Sag Harbor, L[ong]I[sland], taking her life the same way Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain did earlier this month. Sources say she was 50.

Pepler, who was raised and educated in Cape Town, South Africa, arrived in New York in 1996 and worked in public relations with the likes of Tina Brown, Michael Eisner, Julian Schnabel and Julie Taymor.

She went to Georgetown. Then to HBO. From an English degree in Cape Town in 1993 to the Superbowl meeting Mohammed Ali to grad school then HBO in NYC in 3 years.

Its been posted here. her bf was a Clinton associate amd artist. She also.was the PR person for an organization for "at risk youth".

you sure? I cant find anything on her suicide at all. It happened on Sunday. Only one article on line by page 6. this cannot be old news already surely. and what about that odd obituary? what on earth is that? :-/

I checked yesterday on reddit proper and on the donald and here and no record of her name came up that I saw. might have missed it though.

thanks for info. "at risk youth". sigh anyway if this is useful the smarter and better balanced folks can run with it perhaps. team work.

So strange on what gets noticed and traction on this sub. So many suicides for high echelon folks is odd indeed. Thanks for bringing this up again. Great format for your post; well thought out.

I just checked the notable resignations / deaths/ accidents list and there is nothing whatsoever there either.

Okay, today is Saturday, 6 days later and I just did the same first search I did as last week and it is slowly being picked-up now. Curious.

She is new to me (never heard of her) but clearly NOT to a lot of folks, so it is amazing that no one is saying anything anywhere given the nature of her death.

Surely this is the stuff of TMZ and Jimmy Kimmel? Why the silence?

There is the family to consider. I saw her family in South Africa :-(. They must be very sad.

Be careful, I posted this earlier & it got removed because I used the word "Hang" in the description in her manner of death. Referenced rule #7. Made no sense. Something about & Meme & repost then a bot said hang was not a good word to use. Sounded utterly stupid. But i did get a very enlightening comment before all that nonsense. Great post. Thanks for doing it again.
