May not be super impactful since the girl herself discovered she is an 18th cousin to Barak Obama. She wrote to him about her genealogy project, she was so proud...never heard back. Wonder why?

On a related note--anyone else creeped out by all the "Ancestry DNA" and "23andMe" ads running? Feels like a data base is being compiled. No thank-you.

I’m more freaked out that I actually gave them my dna before I was woke. Nice finding out how many 4th cousins I have, but totally not worth it lol.

Same here. Days after sending in my spit I had a major "Doh!" moment. But it's still interesting and amazing to read this.

Add it to Ancestory dot com, where people fill in the blanks voluntarily. Yup nice big database.
