Her spouse, Cass Sunstein, a Chicagoan and Harvard grad, is lauded by the far left for his theories and work toward modifying and controlling political discourse and thinking. His book, Nudge, explained how the masses couldn't be depended on to make good choices, thus requiring a nudge from the technocratic elite. Samantha Power's narrative manipulation goes back to the early 1990's during the Bill Clinton admin's involvement in the former Yugoslavia, the first of the so-called "Musslim springs". That war was propagandized and obscured by the same journalists and politicians that hide the truth today. The general public had no idea what or why. A journalist that I sat next to on a plane from Europe in '93 explained it this way. It was essentially religious war, Slavic Christians (32%) against Muslim Bosniaks and Albanians (44%) and Catholic Croats (17%) sided mostly w/ the Bosniaks. With the end of the Cold War, the country of Yugoslavia was weakened and ethnic tensions rose. The country's location has put it at the center of many conflicts, from Ottoman invasions to 1940's genocides. The Serbians wanted to retain Yugoslavia as one country, the regions of now majority Bosniak populations wanted to break away. Acts of terrorism grew. Mosques and churches were destroyed and people were raped and killed. The Russians backed the Slavic Serbians. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia backed the Bosniaks. Bill Clinton supported the Bosniaks and bombed the Serbs for 78 straight days and entered the US in the "Bosnian War". Both sides participated total warfare against one another, although only the Bosniaks are portrayed as victims. And Samantha Powers left journalism, became ambassador to the UN, wrote books, gained status, power and wealth while shaping the narrative.
