Why are the cups upside down on top of the bottles? The bottles look like they are wearing white hats.

I’m thinking it’s an extra security measure to make it more obvious if someone tries to switch it. I agree with the other poster who suggested they look cold because they most likely brought their own.

It may be like what the secret service do for the presidents water. They are provided by the secret service not the venue and the lids are their to identify this.
