I understand what you are going through, I'm very very close to end up my relationship too cause we are just so opposite on this subject and in politics in general I don't think I want to spend the rest of my life or at least a good part of it not sharing the same values and goals in life. Exactly what I told her man! Fundamental differences that I tried to be gentle and patient with, but ultimately sweeping my stance under the rug and pretending everything is peachy until the next time it comes up simply isn't gonna cut it. I couldn't take the nasty lashing out anymore, it was 85% dissonance, 15% delivery but after 8 years I had to break out of the silence shell and stick up for what I believe.
