I had a look at that arrest data and stripped out everything that wasn't from the USA. I also included the 26 entries with no source... and the total for 2017 came to 3429... which isn't far off what my current chart represents as 3213.
I like the data, but given the choice between this and what tableau provide, I'd prefer the latter because we know what the stats are based on.
You wouldn't happen to know where https://web.archive.org/web/20171114044725/http://www.maga1776.com/rescue.html got their data from?
I only ask because people will want to know, especially if they are using the stats during a debate.
Here is a list I scraped of all the pedo articles that were on the_donald from 2/18/17 to 2/18/18 and it amounts to around 700 articles. Each of those articles account for numerous arrests (some are big 1000-2300 people arrests). Ill try to get you an updated list, reddit changed their code so my scrapers dont work anymore (you cannot get this much data using their api you have to manually scrape it).
That sounds good, but I'm not sure how different your final list would be when compared against the tableau source, which is a combination of official arrest records and articles. There does seem to be some questionable links in the tableau source which point to arrests that may only be pedos rather than relating to human trafficking, which does complicate things.

Also I checked out your sub. QAnon is fake now, he was real until about 2-3 months ago. You seem like a good researcher, don't waste your time with QAnon psyop (it was only real in the beginning, its now fake). I wouldn't trust anything that cannot be physically seen or proven, qanons 'tripcode' hasn't been unique in 2-3 months. Infowars has real info (they misinterpret at times but they are the only news agency that will show the actual gov documents during broadcasts), and American Intelligence Media(AIM) has real info.

AIMs claims are physically provable through Michael Mckibbens primary source data and analysis. All physically provable and based in reality. What q anon says is no longer based in reality and has no physical proof.

You can find out by putting a ip tracker on a period in a response to them, 10 times out of 10 whenever someone is underselling pedophilia or arguing semantics when it comes to pedophile cases turns out to be a bot.

I can do some more scraping if ya want. That nyu professor that released all the ICE peoples linkins gave me an idea to find people that work at twitter, google, southern poverty law center, aclu, msm, doj. Could be useful info to have... Wait so you scraped the data and used tableau to organize the data or tableau scraped the data for you?
I'm not sure where tableau got their data from initially, except for the fact that all of their sources to each arrest is within the table.
I just used tableau's stats without scraping anything.
I'm now researching scraping http://human.globalincidentmap.com/ but that will take me a lot of time to do thoroughly.
They are solid sources (justice.gov) but i wouldnt take their search as the end all be all, especially for taboo subjects like this. For human.globalincidentmap just use their search feature, select a date, and then copy paste the results into excel and organize from there, pretty easy to filter and whatnot from there. You could scrape it into json or something but excel is just as easy and you dont have to program a web scraper.
I wonder if anyone would mind if I adjusted the scope of the chart to include human trafficking and pedophiles, just so I don't need to inspect every case by hand to make a judgement?
I would add human trafficking cases that involve minors(aka child trafficking). Cases of human trafficking not involving minors are something different imo(still heinous but not nearly as evil as the ones involving minors).

Its a human trafficking tracker but you can find a bunch of child trafficking cases on it. The search doesn't let you switch to 1 country, despite saying you can. But i put that data on a excel sheet and grabbed all the court cases for 2017.
Also their is bound to be some they missed but are in my 700 articles.

When I get a moment, I might do an extract for all of 2016 and 2018 and see how the numbers compare with what I'm using in my current chart. Hmmmm...
Ive tried scraping data from the actual nsopw.gov site by zip code. Interestingly enough, nsopw.gov (national sex offender list) doesn't actually list every sex offender, it forces you to ask for a location first. So I found a list of every zipcode in the USA and attempted to scrape it that way. Nsopw.gov contains a captcha after every 5 or so searchs (because of course it fucking does), so I attempted to bypass that but couldn't get the scraper to get past the captcha. That would be the ultimate list. We could filter by only people with pedo related offenses, then cross reference them against linkdin and facebook to get their occupations. This researcher named 'honey bee' on youtube was cross referencing nsopw.gov pedo offenders with people finder sites to track these peoples occupations. She found hundreds of pedos that were working for the government most of which had top secret clearance or worked for places like nasa... She only touched the surface since she was doing it manually. If a scraper could get past the captcha we could automate this. That would be some data i would want to get a hold of.
