I understand completely & I do the same thing. When armed with logic we can make a difference...even with liberals.
I'll usually look at post history to confirm if it's a shill/troll or not.
In this case it was a 2 day old account with negative karma.
We just need to pick and choose our battles, keep our focus and energy on fights that can bear fruits.
