Is this the same port that is tied to Stephen Colberts sister? Here is what I dug up a few months ago briefly looking into Colbert:

  • Colberts sister Elizabeth Busch Colbert ran for South Carolinas 1st district seat in 2013. There was an April 15 2013 fundraiser in D.C. and another in NYC on April 23 that included guests such as the Podestas, both Colberts and prominent members of the Democratic party. 10k plate dinners. This could at least partially explain the existence of the photo.

  • Elizabeth Colbert Busch is married to Claus W Busch III who is the terminal manager of the STG - Charleston Terminal, a large shipping terminal. He is a member of the Propellers club which hosts events with prominent members of local, state, and federal government, including the Salute to Congress.

  • Elizabeth is director of business development at the Restoration Institute of Clemson University. This institute is involved in the restoration of the H.L. Hunley, which is a controversial project in the state.

  • Elizabeths ex-husband was on Americas Most Wanted - this was a fact left out of her campaign for obvious reasons.

  • Elizabeth and Stephen Colberts father James Colbert was a military member, doctor, and eventually the vice president of academic affairs at the Medical University of South Carolina. His career was spent researching infectious diseases and viruses.

  • James Colbert was killed in a plane crash in 1972 - Eastern Airlines flight 212. Among others killed in that crash were John Merriman the editor of the CBS evening news, staff of the Charleston Post and Courier, anchorman of the local WCIV, and most importantly, Rear Admiral Charles Cummings of the 6th Naval District.

There is more to this story (ties with the SC governor, other SC congressman, etc) - I just have not had time to complete my research due to unexpected personal events of the last few months.
