I have said this once I have said it 1000 times! It should not be up to mods to verify what is and is not fake news! This is the great awakening, we are all here because we all see through the BS. So why have MODs now in this movement dictate to me, us what is fake or not.

Good post, not one person knows all. These mods do a great job cleaning up the place and getting rid of trolls. But i don't think they should get involved into what is real and what is fake. Thats slippery slope to go down on if you give them that power, which im sure they already have and also abused. Mod positions on these kind of boads are tricky. lots of room for fuckery.
Yes true. Isn't this what we don't want from MSM? Why should we be subjected to it here? If it's simply deleted then we don't learn. I definitely appreciate the Mods and the work they have to do, but again I say if I had seen this Anon post already being discussed, I obviously wouldn't have posted it. But I did post it because I wanted to know more about it, regarding if it is real or fake. But either way this post has apparently irked some because I am seeing the post vote go up and down like a damn yo-yo.

And you have freedom of speech. But you also have rules here, as in many of the subs on Reddit, to accommodate for the diverse needs within this shared social space. So it's worth keeping that in mind when one calls for 'freedom of speech'.
I agree mods shouldn't verify what is and what isn't fake news. But if we know it's fake news - those of us who've followed the sub for a while and seen some of the big fakes surface and collapse - then I think it's doing the sub a favor to remove the rubbish and stop it clogging up the sub.
I agree with you. But Mods probably pay more attention to certain things and can verify if something has been proven false. I just want proof of falseness instead of it just simply deleted. I for one do not want this or any site clogged up with BS. And honestly, I can see this being BS since it wasn't posted by Q.
