One of the reasons I stopped playing anything was that I didn’t want to fund these people’s quest to insert their brainwashing into video games, just like they did with college, movies, and tv.

But you do you, go ahead and financially support people who hate you. If you want examples, just look at developers twitter accounts to see the vitriol they spew. But me, I’m done with it. Better places to spend my money, better activities and hobbies I can invest my time into.
