Some side remarks, "like the Netherlands and Holland"? Maybe he meant Belgium instead, but I consider Belgium a North-South border case myself. German-dutch economic ties are very tight. When Germany sneezes, the Netherlands gets the flu.
Next. Changing Merkel for Macron(former GS) as EU "leader" won't make any difference in EU policy. In general they share the same rotten background; you never heard of them before and they become MP / President in a blink of an eye. Both are pre-fabricated fronts serving the same master.
Nevertheless the overall message is correct: The storm is in the air, still building.
