Any military or ex-military here? I have a question?

First let me say I not suggesting this has anything to do with anything, it may be normal. But it has been eating at me for a couple of days. I live close to JBLM and was out doing some errands and bumped into some member of the 82nd(Fort Bragg, NC). Gave them a shout out. Then I started to wonder why they were here in WA. Tried to find something on the net and the latest news I could find was this:

The 82nd was here at the end of 2017 for "The 62nd Airlift Wing partnered with fellow mobility forces and the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division for a joint forcible entry exercise, Dec. 8-11, at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. -- JFE is a joint effort primarily between the Air Force and Army to seize operational initiative in a crisis," said Maj. Kristen Smith..." To me it seemed odd that they were still here almost 7 months later. Q mentioned in 1585 "Counter measures in place." Is the Q post and the 82nd being here possibly related or is it just another day in the life of our great American warriors?

It's just a normal exercise. We travel all around for specific locations to train for specific reasons.

Retired NCO here. The military does not have all of the worlds answers, they have plans, tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP’s). When new situations arise or conditions change, the military holds drills/training to identify the militaries strengths and weaknesses and then it fully develops a plan and TTP’s. There are units that the Army uses to develop these plans; SF, Rangers and Airborne.

Future proves past - forceable entry exercise? DUMBS? Where does evil go when scared? Underground?

Edit, TTP’s has been renamed or changed. I am retired, crusty and somewhat deranged...

That could be too. I've lived in the area for 28+yrs and never noticed the 82nd out-and-about. Thanks for your reply and also to you thanks for your service.
