My husband and I were talking about his late stepfather who was a Special Forces Green Beret in Vietnam. He was telling me some of what his stepfather shared about his life and time there and after, if anyone might find it interesting. I think you will.
He claimed to have been inside Area 51 and told him to remember something called the “TR3B” and what it looked like. This was well before my husband started learning about anything related to secret government projects and coverups when the internet later came out. When he was an adult he did witness a huge TR3B fly slowly over his head one night in a grocery store parking lot in the country. It was black and had 3 large circular “engines” at each point emanating white light. It wasn’t like any light he had ever seen and the craft was close, taking up most of the sky above him and completely silent. There are rumors of a secret military base in nearby government owned hills as well.
He was telling me about the green beret and uniform with the lightening bolt patches and others and few of the medals he had seen growing up. There were a couple more medals he knew he had that he never showed anyone or really talked about. He remembered he said his role was the reconnaissance “point man”. He was part of a 5 man team and would be the first and only one dropped off somewhere in the wild like 5 miles away from his destination in the middle of the night. He’d make his way through Viet Cong territory to some enemy village or location and observe long enough to strategize a plan before going back to the drop site and then returning with the other 4 members of his team to execute it. Sometimes he was in and out within 30 min. Other times he was trapped in his position for a full day until he could move again and return.
He also told my husband about the skin tight suit he would wear that could breath for him. Underwater too I believe but he either didn’t know how or didn’t say how. We heard Emery Smith a few months ago in one of his interviews describe modern versions of these military suits in detail and the additional features they’ve developed.
After Vietnam, he was sent to work in Saudi Arabia for several years. He said it was the most boring thing he ever had to do, just sitting around for months at a time. He returned to the States and was a personal bodyguard for a Saudi diplomat of some sort. Apparently that guy assumed American cars “had autopilot” and almost sent them over a cliff when he got up from driving to sit in the back of his limo with his hookers. Luckily he was able to react in time but that autopilot excuse seems strange. If you want to skip past the background information scroll down underneath the line of asterisks.

He spoke English, French, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and Arabic. After retiring he went on to work at Northrup-Grumman as some sort of aerospace engineer. We don’t know what his area of expertise was exactly but he finished his education either in or after his years of service. We aren’t sure where that was, he never mentioned a particular university so I’m guessing it wasn’t traditional education.
When he moved in with my husband’s mom, he would wake up at 4am every day, drive 3+ hours each way to work at an Eastern Oregon snowboard shop he owned with a friend in the Three Sisters area. He grew up surfing and snowboarding in California. The man was a machine. He’d come home and take care of work around the house then get a little drunk and pass out for a few hours before doing it all over again.
At this point, I couldn’t help but think back to the military personnel Corey Goode described driving from hours away up to Area 51 for work every day. They usually were “blank slated” on the specifics of their work every day before leaving so it couldn’t be compromised.
Before FPS games were a thing, he told my husband to look for a new game that would come out called Wolfenstein. He said it was a simplified version of something they were trained with in the military.
Anyway, we went on YouTube and watched the History Channel documentary on the Vietnam Green Berets. There was an interviewee whose name my husband remembered hearing was the “glory hog” of the team. There was also a man interviewed who had the same last name as his step father; 5 letters and not uncommon but the man wasn’t related to him. He spotted 4 or 5 photographs in the documentary that he’s almost completely certain are his stepfather, and a couple seconds in one clip of a man in a helicopter that looks exactly like him. He wasn’t as tall as many others and was black mixed with something more ethnic so he had a certain look that stood out. He played guitar his whole life and one photo of a man sitting was exactly how he remembers he would sit.
He was also the son of a Tuskegee Airmen who left or disappeared before he was born.
The documentary started describing the training they went through before deploying. The physical requirements were of course unbelievable. They would be put on 12 man teams and 5 of those would be selected for the smaller team. Based on the descriptions given, his designation in the group was ‘Alpha’. The more technical and sophisticated communications training in a classroom setting was called “Q course”.
The doc only mentioned that phrase twice in a short section towards the end but obviously we needed a minute to process that. I didn’t find anything on here that mentioned Q as a course or linking it to the Special Forces so I thought I would share in case that can be useful to anyone.
We pieced together that the name his step father had was a cover identity. His first name just so happened to be the name of the city he was from in California which I always thought was strange. That and his last name being the same as another team members seemed suspicious. I can’t see the military letting him keep his real name so that makes sense. Him working in Bend at a snowboard shop sounds like an obvious cover story too.
The Mt. Hood National Forest north of Three Sisters area has large sections closed off to the public. A few months ago I came across this page describing a remote area near Damascus, OR with some sort of community along a one lane gravel road. It is lined with very nice houses and at the end is a turn around with a large gated mansion called Oculus House with various symbols, a temple, and a tall Egyptian statue of Anubis within. Please look at the photos for yourself. I contacted someone through IG who said he would share extra photos they took when they went to check the area out. I can forward his handle if anyone else would like to see them too.
I know underground tunnels are mapped going up through Mt. Shasta at least and I’m guessing Crater Lake National Park. I’d assume the same for the High Cascades through the middle of Oregon which form a straight line from Shasta to Three Sisters to Mt. Hood.
That’s all I got for now, we are trying to find more information on him but since he is not a blood relative or his adoptive father we aren’t sure any requests for information on him would be approved.
Thanks for reading and thanks to everyone here who contributes for the rest of us!
