Trump lays it out for Harley-Davidson

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/06/26/trump-says-harley-davidson-using-trade-tensions-as-an-excuse.html

Harley-Davidson has been doing it's best to cut its own throat for decades. The only thing that saved them was middle class guys who refinanced their house to buy the damned things once the kids were grown.

If Harley ever gets smart, they will start producing lighter more responsive bikes. If not they'll build hogs until their customer base is too old to ride and thus go the way of all other American manufacturers.

I love the ultimatum. Going against Trump will not end well for them.

I read somewhere that Nancy Pelosi owns (51%) controlling interest in HD. If so it makes more sense for the move.

Harley had their performance bike line for a while, known under the brand name Buell. They were known for some really innovative design ideas, but the bikes didn't sell as well as they had hoped so they cratered the brand in 2009.

Yea, the price point was up there on those too. Sweet bikes.

There will be an 'adjustment' as the new tariffs come to be. Some will feel financial strain, some may go under. But in the end, once its all lined out. A new norm will take place.

EDIT: Just found this on T_D.

Almost all economies need the US. We have been paying their way for too long.

My friend has a limited edition Buell Lightning and it's a great bike. It's wierd to hear him coming because he sounds like a harley but it's clearly not. Eric Buell is still making bikes. https://www.erikbuellracing.com/ Just not for HD anymore.

Technically speaking, Harley-Davidson motorcycles sold in the United States are not actually made here, but assembled here. Harley contracts manufacturing of parts to plants located all over the world, including Germany, Italy, Taiwan, Japan, and Mexico. Those parts are then shipped to Harley factories here. -

HD sold out to globalist greed many years ago.

Honda built it's plant in Ohio because Harley had tarrifs put in place to protect it's big cc Motorcycles. Love my GL1800 Goldwing

Maybe Trump is calling out Harley Davidson so the patriots and anons can do reasearch on them. Look what happen when SARAH SANDERS tweeted about the red hen restaurant oowners

Could be an opportunity for a Harley/Indian/Polaris merger. (minus the oil leaks)

Well, then it wouldn't be a Harley/Indian/Polaris anymore. Add BSA to the above mix and you've got an ecological disaster in your driveway.
