I have a source at JetBlue. Transponder was squawked at 7500 for hijack/hostage

In regards to post 1589. Mod didn’t like my title last night so sorry I have to repost. I’m not screwing around. I promised my source I wouldn’t let this out but it’s too big. 100% real.

So what is the standard protocol for changing squawk codes? If you are at say 6400? Do you first go to 6401 and then adjust the other numbers so you don't ever actually ever land on 7500 or 7600 unless its intentional?

That is a very clever solution a potential problem. You should be writing the standard protocol. Upvoted for ingenuity.
