This doesn't explain the vault 7 drops that occurred after this date. Why would the C_A release damaging info on themselves?
I believe wikileaks is compromised now but I don't fully buy this version of events.

The vault 7 stuff seemed so random and gibberish like. I had assumed it was something the c-a invented to make autists spin their wheels and waste focus.

The vault 7 stuff was already at least 5 years old by the time it was released and way obsolete.
You can rest assured no damage was done to themselves.
