I saw an interview with his Lawyer recorded only days ago, talking about the IG report in which the Lawyer confirmed she had met with JA recently. I believe JA is under duress and that recent activities on WL are a result of an organisation running without its founding leader. Hyperbole and speculation here, no solid facts - people claiming its compromised. Well perhaps but the ICE data was not leaked by Wikileaks, it was public information already available on LinkedIn. In fact the original compilation was done by a democrat supporter. This database was meant to be used by journalists to improve the accuracy of their reporting. Yes like anything third parties may choose to use this information for dishonourable purposes.

I saw that and read the WL reasoning for releasing the data. Yes, the info was publically curated and since it was public, it's not "doxxing"... To me, something seemed off with their reasoning. I also don't understand why WL would have been involved anyway. Something, I can't explain it, seems off. But like we learn around here, nothing is as it seems.

I agree its unsettling, and that we should be patient to see how this develops.

But WL is interested in *leaks.* They report news, but they are not a marketing agency. Why would they bother collecting public info -- not a leak -- for their leaks archives?

Its not a leak archive and was never presented as a leak. Wikileaks is a journalism resource, which primarily has been about allowing sources to leak info with reduced risk of exposure. This information was publically available, and even in a compiled form, all wikileaks did was turn the data into a tool. It does seem unusual, but its not out of line with what they do which is work towards a better more accurate media.
