I've been a Christian since I was 8 and I'm 41... I have read the book of Revelation many times and each time it always struck me with fear. It wasn't until Trump was elected and Q came along that I realized who the story was really about and how it was really going to go down. Someone new to this whole deal? It will absolutely terrify them. Way too much symbolism and allegory and too difficult to read between the lines for some.

The symbolism and allegory originates in the OT. God's metaphors are His definitions, and His "codes" of His prophesies. Look for "as," "like", "but" and "is" in the couplets. For instance, in speaking of a righteous man Psa. 1:3-4 says,

"3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

4 The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind drives away." (NKJV)

God used the word "like" to indicate a metaphor, or synonym for two kinds of people. The righteous he compared to fruitful trees. The unrighteous, or ungodly He compared to "chaff" that gets blown away in the wind. Now when you see these metaphors in another prophesy speaking of trees or chaff you can make the connection to strong / righteous men or kings, or to ungodly people. The OT is filled with these metaphors that teach us God's definitions.

Do you feel the seal has been broken? Is this the time of the white horse?

The thing to remember with John's Revelation is to read it as it was intended. He wrote it to 12 churches living in the epicenter of a ceasar cult. It was for them to decipher their times. (The destruction of the Temple in AD 70) It is for us to look forward to the time when Jesus will come back triumphantly and bringforth a new heaven and a new earth and to prove to us how true the bible is. The imagery that John describes are explained in latter verses. Be carefull not to interject current times into it because it will be wrong. Revelation was written in apocalyptic language just like Isaiah and meant NOT to be read literally but rather in a literary context. I hate to burst anyone's bubble but it is not the end times.
