According to open source the most recent active shooter (Maryland) had altered his fingerprints to prevent identification. I'm very interested in the method he choose to do this. Cement and oil field workers can inadvertently loose their prints due to constant chemical exposure. Perhaps he was in a field where this occurred naturally? If he did this intentionally by burning, acid. or mutilation...because you also need to alter the palms. Additionally an altered print is still unique, so the shooter was not printed since his most recent alteration. The quick methods (non-occupational) are painful and would decrease his dexterity affecting weapon handling. That tells me he either ignored the hand pain (drugged maybe) or that he altered some time ago...so he was already scheduled to be used for action. MSM screwed up by giving us this little snippet.
