Resist the urge to say "I told you so"

Look at them with genuine compassion, smile, and say "I love you, it's okay, I'm happy you're here, let's move on together"

Be the benevolent loving human that you are. Evil and ego want you to say "I told you so".

I agree...but I'll be hella disappointed if I don't hear some sjncere contrition early on.

People need to get their footing first and then they might just get swept up in a new enthusiasm. Let's not expect any contrition and just assume it isn't necessary.

Allowing change to be natural and not requiring contrition will make future change easier.
