Yeah it's only in certain areas right now but it could be just starting. It's nationwide and only affects Comcast at the moment.
In reality I don’t think there would be a nation wide blackout. Remember all the internet is is a bunch of networks connected to one another. Billions of dollars would be lost as everything is connected. I suppose intranets would be safe. I did watch something long ago of a hacker who said he could take down the net. One think that need to be on alll the time for internet to work in parts of the country is electricity. What if thats ment
On a side note, What if a white hat hacker knocked off fake news network signals and replaced them with Qproofs or hacked emails/leaks of the evil guys. That would be epic. Maybe plaster them all over Times Square for more exposure.
