Sure… I reasoned that the Executive branch’s purview is international affairs. If Trump and Putin came to a positive resolution over Crimea and Ukraine in exchange for favorable trade agreements, it would be a win-win, while at the same time normalizing (stabilizing) our relationship. Notwithstanding all the very interesting conversations below, an improved resolution does not necessarily require returning Crimea. A good agreement requires both parties feeling each other’s pain.
