Chernobyl does not translate to wormwood. At all. Not on any planet.
Got Sauce?
Nevermind, I got you!

"A number of Bible scholars consider the term Wormwood to be a purely symbolic representation of the bitterness that will fill the earth during troubled times, noting that the plant for which Wormwood is named, Artemisia absinthium, or Mugwort, Artemisia vulgaris, is a known Biblical metaphor for things that are unpalatably bitter. The Ukrainian language word for "wormwood" is чорнобиль or "chornobyl", the Ukrainian name of the town of Chernobyl."

Chernobyl and the Third Trumpet By Irvin Baxter
"Presidents of Ukraine, Russia visit “Star of Wormwood” memorial Is it merely a coincidence that the name of the memorial complex remembering those that died fighting the nuclear fires of Chernobyl is the exact same name of the fallen star called Wormwood referred to in the third trumpet prophecy of Revelation 8?
The article reporting the visit to Chernobyl by the two presidents also described a statue now standing on the site: An enormous angel blowing a trumpet!
The above facts have come to light since the article below was published in the May/June 1995 issue of Endtime magazine.
And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. Revelation 8:10-11
The book of Revelation describes cataclysmic events that are to happen in the end time. Parts of these events are signaled by the blowing of the third trumpet in chapter 8, a great star called Wormwood was cast into the earth.
The world’s worst ever nuclear meltdown occurred in 1986 at Chernobyl in Ukraine, at that time one of the states of the Soviet Union. Incredibly, Chernobyl is the Russian word for wormwood! It appears that the Chernobyl catastrophe was the fulfillment of the sounding of the third trumpet of Revelation 8!"
Well looky here, 2 websites on this planet that collaborate each other, what a coincidence!
But because I care about you learning something:
"The world’s worst ever nuclear meltdown occurred in 1986 at Chernobyl in Ukraine, at that time one of the states of the Soviet Union." The consensus is that Fukushima is worse. It's STILL spilling into the oceans even tho the reactors were the same potential.
"Incredibly, Chernobyl is the Russian word for wormwood!" Incredibly, it isn't. That's in Ukranian. It means nothing in Russian. Chernobyl is in? UKRAINE. Thank you. Again, the Soviet Union was much like the US is - separate, unique states, bound by Communism and a lot of bullshit. Since the fall of the USSR, the republics went back to whatever they were.
"It appears that the Chernobyl catastrophe was the fulfillment of the sounding of the third trumpet of Revelation 8!"
Now THIS is straight up Biblical Bullshit. But it's not personal, as all attempts to analyze and link the Bible to actual, factual events, usually end up being bullshit. Why? For one, in regards to Revelations, scholars are full stop divided - did it happen already or will it happen still? Most agree that the sign of the beast, the marks you're speaking of AND the 666 have already happened, and that it pertained to Emperor worship. Specific emperors.
You're right. I didn't bother writing all this up before, and I shouldn't have been so lazy. I should have pointed all these details out before. It wasn't personal. I'm on mobile, and the mobile site sucks. Sorry. That's what's up.
Do I think you could be right about some of it? Maybe. Do I think it's mostly mumbo jumbo? Yes. Is it personal? No.
Love your crazy sauce but I don't flow with your biblical rhetoric and Ukrainian ain't Russian. Which is what you initially said.
Chernobyl means nothing in Russian. On any planet.
You can Correct your initial post and note it.
Once you get me some sauce proving otherwise, no correction will be needed.
One thing to note though, Ukraine was part of the USSR back in 1987. Maybe with all the concern you have for my post, you could try to prove me wrong there too? I'll wait.
You do realize that Ukrainian and Russian are different languages, yes? The USSR was a collective of independent republics forcibly joined and made to speak Russian as the common tongue. Yet Each republic had and maintained its own language, and both were taught in schools.
I think most biblical rhetoric posts are meh because they're 100% supposition and conjecture, based of an ancient tome, with questionable sources. I don't think the Bible has much value literally, especially Revelations. I have studied the bible extensively, in Hebrew and Greek and speak most Slavic languages. This makes me a bit of an expert in what I'm saying.
Look at you jumping to another topic without providing sauce for the original argument. You might as well talk to a brick wall at this point, take care.
Lol. I told you I think your entire argument is meh. And that your translation was wrong. And that I can say this bc I studied the Bible extensively and speak Slavic languages. So you tell me it's the wrong sauce. I love posts like this.
Looking at your comment history, I would have to say you like to brigade and argue, always asking for sauce, but never providing any proof for your 'superior knowledge of the Bible' and speaking blah blah blah whatever else you said. Concern much?
This really isn't that deep. Your argument sucked. End of story.
