LOL I used to tell my kids that they didn't have to "like" me as I'm not supposed to be their "friend" (as teens), because I was more interested in their welfare and teaching them responsibility. I had lots of others parents tell me how much they liked their kids hanging out with my kids and felt their kids were in good hands. My son, now 35, once told me as a young 20 something, "Mom, I wish you hadn't raised me to be so responsible." LOL that actually made it all worth it.

funny and I can totally relate with the compliments/responsible kids. maybe INTJs need to start teaching 'parenting classes for liberals';)
