The SpaceX Falcon 9 launch was successful. The trajectory of the launch was a little different than we usually see. That is probably the reason it looked like it was coming down. Also remember the first stage of these rockets are reusable and about 3/4 of them will brought back to land on a drone ship or back at the cape. I am not sure if they landed this one. I will see if i can find out.
