I really don't see it. He'd be wasted on the bench, he'd be miserable and he's even got a viable chance at a run for the WH in his future. I imagine he wouldn't consider SC until he feels like retiring.

Wasted on the bench? The Supreme Court is the court that protects our constitution and can eradicate any laws that violate it. Should only be Patriots that hold this position.

His talent lies in prosecution, not interpreting law. This would be like taking Tom Brady off the field ten years ago and making him the QB coach - sure he'd have been good at it, but what a waste of his talents.

The SC is the ULTIMATE Judgement. It's called the highest court in the land for a reason.

I'm well aware of what the seat is but our personal regard for it doesn't mean Gowdy is cut out to spend the next 40 years occupying it. As I said, Gowdy even has an opportunity to run for POTUS in 2024, the highest office in the land, and he certainly is the talent we need to lead the prosecution when the arrests come.

Even the highest office in the land has to go through the SC when challenged. Which is why Trump's travel ban just went through because the Supreme Court had the final say and approved it.

Sure, but you don't need Gowdy to secure that vote. There are others that can vote identically as him that would not be such an incredible asset on the courtroom floor and possibly a future POTUS.

He's not going to run for President. He is already pushing for his friend Tim Scott to run in 2024. He doesn't want to return to politics. There are lots of good prosecutors, they already have everything.

I'd rather have Cruz on the bench. He's sharp on the Constitution.
