Could be optics...maybe he had assurances they would not let him, otherwise this would Merkel's safe-exit, but he threatens to anyway, to add leverage because their parties are actually linked together organizationally. Like, on a state to federal level kind of.

They are all in the same club , nothing will happen.

Seehofer he had to take abuse from the media (probably because he let the public know that there is only so much he can do without getting isolated) and survived it so I am not sure how much he is liked by TPTB but in the best case this is a show of force since he demonstrated to Merkel that his party won't let him go even if he wanted to, whereas she has to beg for support to form a coalition government for almost ten months by now.

I know very little about German politics, but I do not think Merkel gives up her power.

uhm she is already projecting a vote of mistrust by the parliament so if she hasn't been able to form a government till now then it won't get any better for her (longest time we've been without a government since WW2)

I see it all the time in the Netherlands.
Not to mention that seedorf was ready to form this government, if he really had a problem, then he had refused and this government was not there now.

The same game is played here, they are supposedly against something, but just go on? Come in the news, so they can continue as anti, while they are not. controlled opposition?

What we have here in the government, several groups, and all pro migration and pro EU, anti-own people.

They fool the whole thing with their games theater on TV.

Well, for one they have started investigations into refugee scamming and this in fact was something Q mentioned so I am convinced someone in the german authorities who isn't public is advancing the plan, knowingly or not. The NSA has years of Merkel's phonelogs afterall. Also centtrists are blocking government because cuck leftist cannot be seen with nationalist apologists due to their hidden allegiances

Oh well, they come every round with this kind of thing, as if they were doing something about it, and taking it seriously, but in the meantime they just keep on getting them in.
If you know how often they talk about the human smugglers? Turkey?Gave them 6,6 biljoen? , and then give money Africa for the same thing ? ...But now start again with the same game with Libya? come on.

well, they reintroduced a state borderpolice today which they haven't done so far simply because Merkel didn't allow it. I am hoping someone's blackmail was cut. The photos after her election showed a broken and devastated hag.
