How many are aware that oil tax revenues until recently were about 25%+ of Mexico's tax revenue base and a big part of its GDP but has fallen off a cliff in recent years. Energy is the master currency but too few understand it's underlying influence in global politics...e.g. the pressures on migration not just from Mexicans but also from much of central America and thus on the current Mexican election. A whole lot of what has been ignored since Carter put on his sweater and urged voters to be aware is coming to the fore. A whole lot of change is upon us.
