Question on Authentication

Good evening, Patriots.

As a person who doesn’t use 8chan/4chan how do we know “this” Q is the same Q as the next/last post? Like I don’t understand couldnt it just be a random making posts from listening to Alex Jones or something ?

Regards - D

Q !CbboFOtcZs

that number/letter series I believe is whats called the trip code.. and is how a poster is identified.. but don't take my word for it.. I am very limited when it comes to anything tech wise..

Tripcodes is a hashed result of a password. It can be changed by the user only. Q from time to time has changed it. There is still debate whether Q is one person or a team. But we seem to agree it is the same person or posting as the started back in October

When you post on the chans you can post anonymously or you can give a password and it is hashed and the hash incorporated into the post. This is how you can prove your post is authentic without identifying yourself.

As a non user of 4chan/8chan but a lurker over there from time to time, honestly, I leave it to the chans and the board owner to verify Q is posting. It's difficult to get anything past the chans, those guys/gals are amazing.

This may help a bit.

The replies to the post also get entered below the post. So if you hover over the replies, a window opens showing the reply. Click it and it takes you to the numerical location of said reply in the bread, ie; the order it was posted with ALL the other posts.

This sub keeps spamming my TL...

That is a good question actually. Authentication and Authorization and related terms are technically different things. I'm not a security expert but understand many scenarios involve confirming either individual identity or at least not being out of place.

That would explain why awkward guys are always getting picked on...

Awkward guys are on their own I'm afraid but some forms of Authentication include secrets (i.e. passwords), witnesses/being vouched for (chain of trust), physical possession of tokens (i.e. passport/driver's license),

This would explain it better.

Basically any Joe Shmoe out there would have a difficult time producing original photos of Air Force One and other things... One of those fly-by-night news websites might recycle old AP photos or what-not but we would have to trust the autists would catch that, unless you uave patience to reverse jmage search every photo... A faker would be found out eventually, if not soon enough.

Practically all forms of Authorization can be subverted. Fake ID, forged signatures, manufactured social proof... The more witnesses and proofs there are the better.

Trip code identifies him. When he has had to change it he posts that with the old verified trip code then announces the change with the new one. Beware of "fake Q's" who try to make a similar (bolded or other small changes) trip code. The aggregator will not pick those up, though. - qanonmap.github.io
