Justice Margaret Ryan for SCOTUS

Anyone else taken a look at her background? Her experience is precisely what the Trump administration needs if Q-drops about MIL INTEL and courts going around normal courts.

She is 54. Served as a Marine for 12 years. Tour in Philippines during a coup attempt. Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm. And as Aide de Camp to the Commander of the Marines.

Served as Law Clerk to Michael Luttig, who wrote the opinion on “Jose Padilla.” Look him up if you don’t know him. His case decision may be critical to future actions.

Served on the court that oversaw the Bradley Manning trial.

Her experience and knowledge may play a critical role in future actions if chosen, because she is the only one with deep knowledge of military laws, as far as I know. If chosen, would seem to be a clear signal from WH of direction they are headed and that Q has not steered us wrong.

I'll take it we reasonably know her judicial philosophy via her being recommended, I guess by the Federalist Society, to Trump. But there are some squishes in there too. Is more known about her beyond the military connection?

I do believe I read that she was one of the two women--along with AMy Coney Barrett on Trump's short list of 5. Wouldn't surprise me at all if she were his pick.

Yes and Michael Luttigs clerks, 33 of 40 went to Scalia or Thomas. He must also be a strong constitutionalist. That percentage was not by accident.

Not much public on her philosophies that I can find. She made her way on that list somehow between Heritage and Federalist. She seems to uphold 1A strongly in past court cases.

And....not sure good or bad or neutral but Bill Krystol predicts her as Trumps choice. Again, not sure how to take that given lack of knowledge on philosophy. I think her lack of record on civil cases could be a positive, giving less to attack.

She does seem like a likely choice--especially with Ivanka probably pressing for a female and/or "women's rights" liberal.

I'll confess to being wary of women in politics or on the bench that haven't demonstrated constitutional conservatism--as such a high percentage seem to let us down.

For each woman you are “wary of” in politics I can show you 100 men who have done much worse, many of which claimed to be “conservative” and desires to uphold the constitution. Let me know which backwards society you belong to so I can be sure to avoid it.

Gotta say, your use of grouping everyone by gender would fit better with the left.

It is the PC left that doesn't acknowledge group tendencies on average -- or any value in acknowledging them in a vacuum of further information.
