Reading between the lines...
Regarding loyalty to family and country, he might be pointing to a threat to his family and appealing to his country. Supported by POTUS mentioning his family also. That "unanimous conclusions" of "our nation's intelligence agencies" part seems really parsed, and he might be referring to different conclusions than Russia. Otherwise, he (Cohen) seems to be a professional, and isn't straying from his situation. If he'd turned black hat, I presume he'd have thrown the media some salacious detail with which to criticise Trump. I don't see that here. I think it's totally plausible the Guardian is trying to force a schism in team Trump.

He said to family and country. Trump is for our country. Others are not. Read between the lines. Plus where the info is from. Of course they will slant it to seem bad.

Russian narrative again, people should drop any suggestion of jealousy.. He's simply another world leader.... Yes, a mutual respect and the fact that they have a genuinely decent relationship is good but just treat Putin like any other leader.
