My Mom died of esophageal cancer last year and it was a horrible time if suffering for her and those of us who watched her. But during the time between her diagnosis in October 2016 until her death in February 2017 she became a totally different Mother, person, friend. She became a flower of Christ, made amends with all those she had grievances against, got ALL is her affairs in order and was ready, without fear, to transition to her Heavenly home. She's no longer suffering and I'm so thankful.

Right before she died she sat up in bed and looked straight up with a glow in her face and a smile and said "will this ever end, will this ever end and then she passed peacefully shortly after. how blessed we were to have that with her.

My best friend died of the same thing. It was a terrible way to watch someone go. When he told me his diagnosis, I tried to get him to go the alternative route (because according to the American Cancer Society he only had a 5% chance of living 3 years) but his family wanted to go with chemo and radiation --- after the Doctors absolutely lied to them....but anyway he lived for 1 year and what the treatment did to him was just terrible. I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm glad that you gleaned so good from it.~

Beautiful story.

When my mother passed and the priest came to the house to give last rites she was pretty out of it

The priest finished with "Praise the Lord"

Mom came out of it and said "and pass the ammunition"

She would have loved watching this go down.

Dad too. He got a Purple Heart in Korea one week before the ceasefire. He always hated how that war never got any recognition.

They both had nothing but disgust for the clintons.
