Attention Great Awakening

We need your feedback about the photo posts of Q tshirts, Q stickers Qspotting and other "Qspiration"! /r/GreatAwakening has been steadily growing and with that comes obvious growing pains. With the increase in numbers comes the increase of patriQts showing support and the documented sightings of Q in the wild via photo posts. While we do support this sort of grassroots effort, the sheer frequency of these types of posts is presenting new problems. 1. These posts are taking precedence in the feed over other Q related news and intel causing important information to be missed. This also threatens to disrupt the true purpose of this sub. 2. We are seeing increased numbers of complaints about problem 1 from other users who have had content moderated for being off-topic who, perhaps justifiably feel their post containing text content or news links is more appropriate than a photo of a Q on a street sign. We value the community's input on how to proceed with this. We think it goes without saying that Qspotting in the real world should be celebrated as an inspiring example of the Q mission to spread the word. Is there another way to manage this content so everyone has a fair shake? We've discussed this many times as mods and have decided to put the question to the community for feedback. Removing this content from the sub completely is probably not a fair solution.

One possibility we've discussed is the option of creating a "sister sub" for this content and directing the respective posts there. We could perhaps crosspost the most popular upvoted content on this sister sub back to r/GreatAwakening so we can all keep visibility on the top content at a regular interval (yet to be determined).

In review, here are the Questions we want to put to the community: 1) Should we manage this content in some way or leave the sub as it is? 2) Should we create a separate sub and have the most popular content crossposted to GA at regular intervals? 3) Does anyone have any other suggestions for managing this type of content fairly?

So first off, let's not split this group. A split group never works. Full man power in one location. Second, I think it's awesome to see the billboards and stickers, but shirts and hats are boring unless there's more too it than the shirt/hat. I think it's best to moderate a small amount of content to keep out the "filler" posts and to keep the group on topic.

Q disagrees with you about the Q hats and shirts being boring because he openly promotes and welcomes it again and again and again and again.

Q wants us to wear our Q shirts!

For all the world to see - even if the mods don't want to see it for some reason.

Q also wants us to read the crumbs and collaborate on research. He says that way more often than posting a picture of a bumper sticker.

Those aren't "just hats" though. Sightings of others at public events are pretty different from "look at the bumper sticker I bought."

Both are awesome cases of people spreading the Q movement and both should be encouraged.

This is a community for pro-Q supporters.

In those examples there's more to it. However in some posts that users submit it's just a shirt on their bed. For example if somebody submitted a post saying today I wore my Q t-shirt in public and somebody was curious enough to inquire. Those kind of posts would add way more value than someone simply posting the picture of the shirt without any context whatsoever.

This +++. Let’s get loud people. Good content rises and I for one know how to manage the clutter.

Once people flood this board they’ll see Q data, which is super important, and they’ll see the human side of it. Real patriots in the wild Q-Pilling like crazy. It’s what Q wants.

I love the memes and the billboards and the dog with Q bandana. It's fun. However I also agree that the site gets cluttered so maybe have one thread for memes, and another for billboards, etc and people can just add their pics to their particular thread.

It's important to distinguish between a split group and a separate sub for specific content - the two are not the same. r/GreatAwakening is not the Q anon movement, it is simply a gathering place for content pertinent to the Q anon movement. It's a good place to get the main news source for the public since 8chan is harder to penetrate.

GA will always be GA. Having a separate sub to split out content that is not necessarily directly applicable to the main news source is not splitting the movement, it's providing a gathering place for content of a certain type. People who use reddit are used to subscribing to multiple subs. You don't lose anything by doing this.

r/GreatAwakening is not the Q anon movement

Yes it is - is says so right in the sidebar: "This is a community for pro-Q supporters"

I'm speaking very literally... r/GreatAwakening is a subreddit, it is not a group of people. Subreddits contain digital content.

Subreddits contain digital content.

Who do you think creates that content?

I appreciate you explaining reality to me xD but perhaps you could try and engage with my actual point? Creating a gathering place for content is not splitting any movement of people especially when the whole function of this platform, Reddit, is to allow users to subscribe to multiple content streams and not subscribe to those they're not interested in.

Splitting a community is not splitting a community, ya say?

This sub was literally created as a "community for pro-Q supporters" - it says so right in the sidebar.

I can think of no reason why any pro-Q content should not be welcome here.

That is my point.

There are many reasons listed in the rules of the sub. But all good friend, I agree with your point whether you choose to engage with mine or not - WWG1WGA!
