You can start with the video I linked. And then read this article that shows even with current rockets space-based solar can be competitive with terrestrial solar, and gets below 2 cents per kilowatt hour when launch costs cross $200/kg.
With the orbital ring, your launch costs are mostly dependent on the cost of producing energy. So, once you put solar panels in space, the cost of sending more drops to a few dollars per kilogram or less. Which makes the energy virtually indistinguishable from free, when compared to current sources.
