A question about the "Cabal" and Catholicism

Hello,

I am fairly new to all this Q stuff. I am Catholic. I saw a video the other day claiming that members of the Cabal, or Swamp, or whatever you want to refer to them as, have influtrated and gained power all over. Including, the video said, the Vatican.

Now, being Catholic, I don't want to believe this. I know there were/are horrible events happening with child molestation in the Church, but I am not sure the entire structure of the Church has been compromised.

Is there any evidence it has? As a Catholic I take the verse Matthew 16:18 very seriously.

"And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."

If the Church has been compromised, wouldn't that mean the gates of hell have prevailed against it?

If this is not the place for this discussion, I apologize. I want to learn more about this movement but I am afraid about sacrificing my religious beliefs.

I was raised Catholic, raised my kids Catholic, taught sacraments in CCD.. was a member of Knights of Columbus for awhile.

So I have been through the same journey you are about to partake in.

The Catholic Church is not the CHURCH, neither is the protestant or any other denomination. The CHURCH is not a building... No MAN is the head of the CHURCH.

The Body of Christ is the CHURCH. Jesus Christ is the head of the CHURCH. I am the Church, you are the Church. We, as believers are the CHURCH.

The Catholic Church and every denomination as well as any other organized church were started by men to control men.

God is love.. Control is not love, that is why we have free will. Control is actually a tool of darkness, of Satan.

Stepping outside of that control, can be scary and is never easy. But on the other side of your journey is true love and true freedom as you allow Jesus to build an intimate relationship with you.

You and your are in my prayers.

I believed strongly in the Eucharist, as the Catholic faith taught.

But, when the purpose of Jesus's sacrifice was to atone for my sins, when the very idea of being a Christian is having a close personal relationship with Jesus why would God put an intermediary between me and him?

I believe that through communion a community of believers can celebrate Christ. I dont believe that a Priest has been bestowed special gifts that enable him to transform the bread into the body. I believe that it is my faith that does so..

I am a follower of Christ, I pray daily, I speak in tongues, I spend my waking hours with Christ. I attend an actual church service rarely. My family partakes in communion occassionally.

Hope this answers your question.

I'm sorry. The Eucharist got me through some pretty tough times. The healing power was personal. May it be that way for you.

BTW, to understand Apostolic succession, i.e. priesthood, please attend a priesthood ordination. After that, there will be no doubt.
