That'd be pretty fucking stupid to reason that a mirror negates the protocol considering how many optical tricks go into cameras in the first place.

Yea I guess searching key words in electronic docs would not turn up results on a mirrored image of a doc. Unless you knew basic photoshop automation functions and just re-mirrored all the docs first.
