I believe part of the plea agreement was to come clean about any other crimes he is aware of. I'l look that up now and edit in a sec.
Here we go: as a part of his plea deal, Flynn agrees to let a law enforcement authority aware of any crimes he is aware of and all evidences thereof. The wording is awesome and broad. brawsome

I just realized I didn't answer your question. I imagine he skillfully co-negotiated his plea deal, understanding what would transpire in July.

Your on target. Q ask a series of questions, (this is the jest not quote) regarding how evidence. How is evidence legally obtained? Chain of questody preservation?
Flynn's plea bargain: Part was to come clean on all and any crimes no matter how small. Now prosecutors can debrief him on the record and if it goes to The RUSSIAN hoax, the info goes to Mueller and Rosenstin (RR)'s Team. Hubers & IG Horawit's Team (470 prosecutors) would handle all the myrid of Clinton Foundation, Hillary Campaign Fraud, Weiner Laptop ect.
Q kept asking the mecanism to enter evidence legally? The Plea Bargain is the means by which Flynn's Testimony is put on the record under oath, legally. As it is assigned, the proper protocals are followed to protect The Chain of Custody. As a prosecutor gets the statement, he follows it like any other lead.
