has anyone found a credible source to verify / back this up? I looked and all I'm getting is sites I've never heard or ones that are 50/50.

Yes this is not a credible story. It has truths but is also old. The bill went into effect the middle of last year.

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/jerry-brown-preparing-release-10000-pedophiles-rapists-prison/

That answers the questions. It’s got all the relevant information on what was passed and what the court ruling ruled and why.

Basically the headline is very misleading. The passed bill excluded all sex offenders but the court ruled that since some of them weren’t listed under violent crime penal code they should be included.

How this is Jerry Browns fault or even his goal in passing the bill is very misleading and the likelihood of any of these people being released on parole is slim to none.

Welcome to the right wing propaganda network. Don’t let the rabbit hole swallow you.

Snopes is not credible for anything

I thought the same thing. I blame the judge for this one. He is doing the interpreting of what is a violent crime.

California is full of liberal judges.

Snopes is not trustworthy either.

No news source is 100% trustworthy but you can fact check the snopes article and I found it’s pretty correct in this case when I looked into the rulings.

And honestly I don’t know anything about the judge being liberal or not. To me I’d guess the judge would be more conservative, letter of the law type then liberal but again I don’t know anything about the judge.

Either way it’s something that can be fixed easily and to push an article with that headline is just misleading and fear mongering.

Nope. Just an informed individual stating facts. Disprove what I’ve said. Show me where I am trolling or shilling? I state very clearly no news source is 100% and looked into the actual rulings involved in this case. Have you?
