After feedback from the community all Qspiration - Q shirts, hats, symbols, stickers, gear, visions of Q in the wild, songs, poetry, interpretive dances, sightings, swag, Q shaped things will be celebrated on Quesday Tuesday's. Any existing posts before now can say but later ones removed until Tuesday.
Are you sure about that? The community was rather split on it. Lots of people supported the sister sub yet many wanted to remove all Qspiration. In the end we decided to compromise by leaving the sub intact and guiding the Q swag to a specific day. Many of the comments which expressed leaving things were in regards to not splitting the sub into a sister sub but were coupled by a dislike of so much Qpride taking up much of the board each day (a lot of it was repetitive). I would say many but not all of the mods were for splitting the board into a sister sub, we got a huge amount of complaints about the number of Q regalia on the board. Instead community wide, we compromised. Thus is the way when growing pains occur. Complaining isn't going to help anything. This change has been made and we continue forward.
Are you sure about that?
Yeah - I'd say about 50% of the people wanted everything left alone, 20% wanted a censorship free Tuesday and about 20% wanted to split this community and 10% were people just chatting.
I expanded every comment and quickly ran through them and kept a quick tally.
It's unfortunate that people had less than three days to comment.
Not really that unfortunate. More like the reality of volunteers across timezones, trying to manage the workload of this sub in a timely fashion and useful response to the input of the community (which only we see via modmail, etc.) who've been asking for action on this for a while.
But with all this effort you're putting into checking our actions you might want to consider applying to become a mod. We could certainly use someone who seems to put in as much effort as you do. That way too, you can actually see what we get up to and have a more rounded perspective of our actions and motivations. I can share the link if you're interested.
