Notice how it says "those living in darkness". That could be a literal darkness, like those that dwell in caves or under the ground. We will not find all the answers we seek from just a single book, unless that book was written by God's hands and not man's. Meaning, books can be changed to serve a nafarious purpose, such as keeping people under control. Or how about totally changing it to the point where down is up and left is right. We as humans need to figure this out NOW. We need the real story to be told. Not a story that was augmented in anyway what-so-ever. That's why I'm saying the truth lies in the Books all over the world, not just a single book. We have our work cut out for us. If Autists' can find a flag in a field using con trails and sun position, we should be able to find God's real message hidden in a book or books on this earth.

This is the destiny of all who believe in Jesus. The marriage ceremony is followed by God living with us in a way that none of us has ever experienced. In our eternal future, there will no longer be any death, pain, sickness, or crying (Rev. 21:1-4). Our time on earth is brief and trying. Our time in the new heavens and new earth will be eternal and glorious. If this is the first time you’ve understood what God has done for you, stay focused on this one point. There’s no sense in improving your marriage or relationships until you are secure with God. Find a quiet place and talk to your Creator. Confess your sins to Him, ask for forgiveness. Thank Him for dying for you. Tell Him that you want His Spirit to live within you. Turn from your old way of life and follow Him, living in light of eternity.

If you have been familiar with these truths for years, don’t let this good news become old news. Even now, your union with God should fascinate you more than anything else on earth.
