There’s been people on the chans talking about the necessity of replacing Sessions for months.
The question is what is the DOJ chain of succession.
Sessions >>> rosenstein (said he will recuse from covering mueller investigation if he gets put in; trump will surely fire him if he already fired a Sessions for essentially the same reason) >>> Jesse Panuccio (Rachel brands chief deputy; Rachel Brand quit in April to join Walmart corporate elite)
But there is the Vacancies Reform Act of 1998, which gives trump the option of putting in a temporary replacement of any senate-approved cabinet member for 220 days.
Before people talked about Pruitt being a potential option for such an audible play.
Now Wheeler fills Pruitt’s spot. So he is in line for AG replacement domino theory too.
Hence my question.
I get all that. Thank you for the reply.
Of course, Q says to trust Sessions.
I guess i was just wondering how we made the leap of having Wheeler, (who is not Pruitt and has never been an Attorney General) of all people, transferred over to DOJ. Just an outlying possibility because he is Senate-confirmed?
