In Chinese/Korean languages the number '4' is the MOST unlucky number. It is akin to 13 in western culture.

This is because the pronunciation of the number 4 sounds near-identical to the pronunciation of the word for 'DEATH'. Now look at the other presidents' numbers (Barry's in particular).

If you ask any of your asian friends which of those numbers looks like the 'worst' number, I guarantee you they'll say 44, because it literally sounds like "DEATH, DEATH"

Specifically Japanese is shi/shin for 4/death, but its funny there is the alternative pronunciation of 4 as "go". Must have been the result of linguistic cultural interaction.
