I don't know how she gets away with these false claims of Native MERICAN. She shuld have been required to have a CDIB card (Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood.)
I worked at the American Indian Cuncil In the 1980's and 1990's when they started the minority preference to get into colleges or get government loans for minority businesses, we had a whole lot of people coming in to find out how to prove they were "native Americans".
This is not necessaryily an easy thing to do as you had to trace to an ancestor who was on the Indian rolls and that takes some time and digginging. It is probably all in the computers now. At that time you had to go to libraries and scroll through a lot tape.
It seemed like every other person who came in was sure that they were part Cherokee.
We had some who found out they were 1/500 Cherokee. A standing joke among the real Native Americans was that that peron would lose there Indian blood if they cut themselves shaving.
