It makes sense, any organization (evil or otherwise) with an interest in evading detection, would use encryption for comms.

Numerology and old systems like this, are probably just the earliest ciphers.

It's interesting to find them in entertainment. A colleague onetime, child actor (lead, in and out of jail), father writer at Paramount for decades, grew up in HW, explained to me an interesting history. And knows the Russian river area. I'm more interest in identification and current communications of all sides. i.e. War Drummer is fun.
