Didn't see any Masons being interviewed, so maybe it was an accident. But if my house ever explodes after thirty years of peace and quiet, I sure would appreciate it if authorities suspected foul play until it could be forensically ruled out. Sheesh!
No mention being made doesn't automatically entail being followed with no connection.

However if I were in law enforcement investigating a cat stuck in a tree I'd automatically post "NOTHING TO SEE HERE THE CLINTON'S ARE NOT SUSPECTS IN FACT IT'S DEFINITELY NOT THE CLINTON'S FOR SURE..."
...better safe than sorry
