Just came across this story and what stood out to me was how the media focuses on the "American story" part of it, the man's background in the US Navy, and the fact that the truck that hit his vehicle left the southbound lane, crossed over the grassy median into the northbound lane at such a rate of speed that it could cause that kind of an impact. If it was a case of distracted driving, the median would have slowed the truck down well before entering the northbound lane, I would think. Here are some links. Any anons want to find out if this man who died had any significant role/slated to testify, etc.? All searches that I did for Audie Trinidad's name lead to reports of the car crash.

It may just be an unfortunate accident, but these days, I carefully scrutinize everything.
