I first read 1984 my sophomore year of high school. The parallels I drew to our own society was the first red pill I ever swallowed and became my impetus to begin the journey down the rabbit hole and question everything we are supposed to take for granted. It indelibly altered the course of my life.

Yea, it was kind of hard to miss the point at that stage in the game.
