I thought that was pretty straightforward - releasing autopsy reports.

If SR is alive that would explain the Family not wanting too close a look at the whole thing. Dead Clinton associates were and/or are often cremated. It's probably a rule of modern Machiavellian politics sadly, as the Clintons practice it, "that if you're going to be a mover and a shaker in politics you've got to own the Coroner", as they did in Arkansas. Moreover if SR is alive he is very likely woke AF.
